Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This temporary position requires providing high-quality patient care within a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to ensure patient safety and well-being. The role involves working night shifts, floating, and call responsibilities. Job Details Position Description: Emergency Room RN responsible for delivering patient care based on the Nursing Process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Duties include conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, monitoring side effects, and maintaining accurate documentation. Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course); 2 years of ER experience; valid fingerprint clearance in New Mexico. Schedule: Nights, 6:30 pm to 7 am, 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: ER experience, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications, valid New Mexico fingerprint clearance, reliable transportation for floating and call requirements. Additional Information: 2 hours prior call requirement, patient ratio of 4:1, floating required, no scrub color specified, EMR system MedHost (EDIS). Candidate must demonstrate organizational skills, knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
