Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Tupelo, Mississippi. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a level 2 trauma facility. The role requires flexibility with scheduling, including working evenings, and entails floating to various units within the hospital as needed.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current Mississippi license, at least 2 years recent emergency room experience, previous travel experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications, fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance, must not have worked perm or per diem for the healthcare provider within the last 12 months, ability to work 12/24 or 12/25, and 12/31 or 1/1.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a level 2 trauma center with 400 beds preferred.
- Competencies: Critical care drips management, starting IVs, ventilator management, IV pump operation, arterial line management, central line management, lab draws, blood culture collections, intubations, EKG interpretation.
- Patient Care Modality: Trauma, cardiac, stroke, COPD, asthma, RSV, abdominal pain, and other emergency conditions.
- EMR: Wellsoft and SCM systems.
- Additional Information: Float to units within competencies; patient ratio 1:4 (or 1:6 for ER holds). Must have at least a 2-year ER experience and prior travel experience. All travelers need to pass an EKG/Dysrhythmia competency verification. Fingerprinting begins within 48 hours of offer. No on-call requirements. Position requires complete availability and flexibility with scheduling.
