Job Summary:

Emergency Room Nurse - Iowa. This position involves working in a busy emergency department with diverse patient populations including behavioral health, pediatric, and adult cases. The role requires floating across all campus locations within the organization and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.


• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or multi-state nursing license, 36 months of current emergency department experience, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course). Skills checklist specific to emergency care (ED, ER, Emergency Department, Emergency Room).


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for pediatric, adult, and behavioral health patients, and experience with drips including sedations and vasoactive medications.


• Additional Information: Candidates must have experience reading, measuring, and interpreting tele-stroke strips. Mandatory orientation begins on 08/17/2026. Candidates should be prepared to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Floating across all campuses will be required.
