Job Summary

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse [Location] This role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy, Level III Trauma Center that serves multiple counties. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and geriatric cases. The ER team operates with a collaborative approach to patient care and safety.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for delivering emergency care in a high-volume ER, with responsibilities including trauma response, rapid assessment, and intervention for acute conditions, with a focus on trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies. The ER has 30 beds, 2 trauma bays, and treats approximately 135 patients daily.


• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 3 years of ER experience in a facility with similar patient volume and trauma level; active license to practice.


• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.


• Additional Information: The position involves float requirements to assist with varying patient acuity and department needs. Candidates must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before signing the contract, with up to three attempts allowed. The ER features a "vertical care" fast track, dedicated triage, and a security presence 24/7. There are dedicated ED RNs for airway management, telemetry, and trauma cases, supported by patient care techs, radiology, and laboratory staff.
