Job Details

• Position Description:
  The competent nurse practices independently in a similar clinical environment, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, developing long-range plans and managing contingencies. Delegates and assigns tasks to other care providers to effectively manage clinical situations.

• Responsibilities:
  Meets expectations of applicable competency standards, utilizes the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitors for side effects, and documents care and patient history. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and caregivers.

• Required Qualifications:
  Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), BLS certification (AHA only), RN License in state of New Mexico or compact, 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred).

• Schedule:
  Days shift, 10 hours per day, 4 days a week, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
