Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Canistota, South Dakota. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Long Term Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a geriatric long-term care facility. This assignment involves providing skilled nursing care to an elderly population, including residents with dementia and behavioral health conditions. The role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with structured shift schedules and specific training sessions. Job Details Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, from 36 to 40 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday shifts included. Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, BSN preferred, experience in geriatrics or long-term care highly preferred, located within an 80-mile radius of the placement site. Preferred Qualifications: Geriatric psychiatric experience or long-term care psychiatric background is preferred. Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: Shift times: Day shift approximately 1:23 or 1:45. EMR: PCC (Point Click Care). Orientation: Location-specific, including training, tour, competencies, and shadowing opportunities. Common diagnoses include dementia and behavioral health conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia, with managed medication plans. On-call or callback are not available. A cancellation fee of $500 applies for clinicians who back out or quit with less than 14 days notice.
