Job Details
- Location: This is a Labor and Delivery Department Nurse role at the healthcare facility.
- Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience.
- Experience: 0 years minimum required.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, working 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 for laboring patients and 1:1 for intensive cases, following AWHONN guidelines. The department cares for obstetrics, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, and patients with pregnancy-related conditions such as hypertension or diabetes. RNs may be required to titrate drips including Pitocin, Mag, and Procardia; no floating unless critical staffing demands it. The unit is equipped with telemonitoring, and nurses are responsible for reading their own strips. Orientation includes one week of classroom training followed by 2-3 shifts on the floor.
- Submission Requirements: Active license to submit.
- Shifts & Scheduling: 12-hour night shifts, with the manager completing the schedule.
- Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday, with additional holiday coverage as needed.
- RTO (Request for Time Off): RTO needed upfront (7 or fewer days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved.
