Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Macon, Georgia. This role involves providing specialized patient care for critically ill individuals across various ICU units, including critical care, medical, trauma, surgical, neuro, cardiovascular, and progressive care units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:

- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and a valid nursing license. Minimum of 2 years of ICU RN experience. EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system experience for at least 6 months is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification is preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; CCRN preferred.
- Skills: General nursing skills including trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucometers, and common drips such as insulin, heparin, narcotic, paralytic, vasopressors, sedation, and cardiac drips.
- Additional Information: Travel assignments involve floating to all ICU and PCU units within the facility; adaptability to cover ER holds is required. Orientation includes one day of education modules and two departmental days.
- Support within the Department: Unit secretaries, discharge nurses, resource team floats, RT 24/7, hospitalist 24/7, intensivist 24/7, telemetry monitoring.
- Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR with 6 months of experience required, IV pumps (Alaris), medication dispensing (Pyxis), monitors (Phillips), Nova Glucose Strips, and facility-specific equipment.
- Float Requirement: Candidates must be comfortable floating to all ICU and PCU units as needed; no guarantee of shifts dedicated solely to ICU.
- Orientation Period: 1 day educational modules and 2 departmental days.
- Scrub Color: RN - Navy; LPN - Ciel Blue.
- Parking: Free parking available.
