Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) ICU / Critical Care Athens, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a critical care setting. The role requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment in a high-acuity unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), TN licensure as an RN, and at least 2 years of clinical experience in critical care settings
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ICU or critical care environments, familiarity with equipment such as ventilators, bipaps, and infusion drips, and experience managing common diagnoses like DKA, CVA, and electrolyte imbalances
• Float: Float rotation is not required
• Additional Information: The unit currently has 5 beds with an upcoming expansion to 10 beds in February. The patient population includes adults and geriatric patients, with no pediatric cases. The ICU requires proficient use of electronic health record systems and adherence to clinical protocols for critical care. Candidates must have the necessary certifications and licensure to work as an RN in Tennessee.
