Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Nights Location unspecified. This role involves providing urgent and critical care to patients of all ages in a 23-bed emergency department. The position requires handling trauma, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, pediatric, stroke, and general medical cases, with a focus on assessment, patient stabilization, and rapid response to emergencies. The nurse will operate within a fast-paced environment, utilizing various medical equipment and electronic charting systems.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, typically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other or every third weekend based on department needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in good standing, CPR (AHA), ACLS (AHA), TNCC, NIHSS certifications, minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience, with recent travel experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior ER experience, familiarity with EPIC electronic charting, and competency in trauma resuscitation procedures.
• Certifications: CPR (AHA), ACLS (AHA), TNCC, NIHSS.
• Equipment & Systems: EPIC charting system, cardiac monitor, defibrillator, Omnicell medication system.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 8 hours with an educator prior to start; first day is scheduled with a preceptor. No float requirements; working within a 23-bed ER with dedicated fast track and behavioral health rooms. Standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1. Dress code is navy blue scrubs with non-slip shoes. Local radius restrictions apply; the client does not accept local candidates and enforces a 100-mile radius policy. Call-offs are permitted up to 12 hours before shifts.
