Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse position available in a Level 3 Trauma facility. This assignment involves providing high-quality emergency care within a fast-paced environment, adhering to clinical standards and hospital policies. The role offers an opportunity to demonstrate leadership, critical thinking, and expert clinical skills in emergency nursing.

Job Details:

• Location: Carlsbad
• Schedule: Days shift, 9:00 AM 9:00 PM; floating required
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 09/21/2026
• End Date: 12/21/2026
• Required Qualifications:
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC
  • Education: Nursing Degree
  • Experience: 2 years in emergency nursing or similar specialty
  • Additional Requirements: Fingerprints for all New Mexico travelers are required; must have the ability to float within the nurse's scope and experience; ICU float is typically required if needed; valid license to practice in the state
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • NRP certification
• Additional Information:
  • Patient ratio: 4:1
  • Blocked scheduling is not approved
  • 48-hour guarantees are not approved
  • RTO blackout dates include 1 summer and 1 winter unless otherwise specified; only one RTO per schedule allowed, with a 6-week scheduling window
  • Scrub color: Full uniform, any color scrubs
  • EMR system: MedHost (EDIS)
  • The nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering patient care in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership are essential.
  • Knowledge of nursing process, assessment, medication administration, safety standards, infection control, and documentation are required.
