Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse position for an acute-care setting. The role supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, with responsibilities that include procedural sedation monitoring, medication administration, vascular access management, and care for adult and geriatric patients. The assignment begins 11/23/2026 and is scheduled for 4 10-hour day shifts per week.

Job Details

• Schedule: 4 10-hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week. Start date: 11/23/2026. Assignment end date: 05/24/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory; active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; experience with electronic health record charting; demonstrated proficiency with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, cardiac stent placement, angioplasty, left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, end-tidal carbon dioxide monitoring, activated clotting time monitoring, dysrhythmia management, emergency medications, intravenous infusions, vasopressors, thrombolytics, vascular sheath removal and monitoring, and starting and maintaining intravenous access.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interventional radiology, electrophysiology procedures, special procedures, balloon pump and Impella support, laser-assisted procedures, rotablator atherectomy, shockwave technology, and pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: On-call coverage is required one day per week, including every fourth and fifth weekend from Friday at 6:00 p.m. through Monday at 7:30 a.m. Approximately one Saturday per month may be included as part of the regular four-shift schedule. The role may float within scope to electrophysiology or interventional radiology. Care is provided primarily to adult and geriatric patients. Scrub attire is provided, and parking is free.
