Job Summary:
Ambulatory Care Medical Surgical Skilled nurse is sought for a position within a healthcare organization located in a rural setting. The role involves providing high-quality clinical care within an urgent care department, supporting medical staff, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining skills, certifications, and participating in educational activities, while adhering to infection control policies and maintaining a safe environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska. Active Alaska license at the time of submittal. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Urgent care experience within the last 2 years.
- Additional Information: The position functions within the Urgent Care Department to assist patients and medical staff. Responsibilities include providing clinical services, managing medication inventory, ensuring quality control checks, documenting care promptly and accurately, overseeing clinic operations, and assisting providers as needed. The role requires physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
