BASIC PURPOSE:
The University Partnerships Specialist builds and manages relationships with higher education institutions to support the recruitment of new educators, including classroom teachers and special education providers. This role also contributes to internal initiatives like coaching, mentoring, and professional development during off-peak recruitment seasons.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop and manage strategic relationships with colleges, universities, and credentialing programs to support the recruitment of new graduates entering the education field. This includes classroom teachers and a wide variety of special education providers (e.g., SLPs, OTs, PTs, School Psychologists).
2. Support the growth of the educator talent pipeline.
3. Establishes and maintains relationships with university and college programs to recruit upcoming graduates.
4. Attends and represents the company at university career fairs, campus presentations, and relevant networking events.
5. Collaborates with internal recruitment teams to align university outreach with current and projected hiring needs.
6. Develops outreach materials, presentation content, and engagement strategies tailored to university contacts and education candidates.
7. Maintains and tracks partnership progress, engagement activity, and graduate candidate pipelines.
8. Regularly communicates with stakeholders regarding university efforts, event schedules, and outcomes.
9. Acts as a subject matter expert on educational pathways, certifications, and trends impacting the candidate market.
10. During university down-time, supports internal educators through coaching, mentorship, or onboarding guidance to aid in their growth and success.
11. Provides feedback on university outreach effectiveness and recommends process improvements.
12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience in education, recruiting, or partnership development.
- Background in education required, preferably teaching, and prior experience working with university partnerships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive tools (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
- Experience working in the field of education required; teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Experience building and managing university or higher education partnerships is required.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting educators is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload.
- High level of professionalism and ability to engage effectively with a wide range of external and internal stakeholders.
- Must be able to travel independently and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of educator certification pathways and credentialing is a plus.
