Position Overview:
- Develop and implement IEP-driven instruction and behavioral goals for a Special Day Class (SDC) and manage a reduced caseload of 12 TK-3 students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Administer and interpret academic, functional, and progress monitoring assessments to inform instructional planning and ensure continuous student growth.
- Collaborate with the general education staff, related service providers, and parents to ensure seamless inclusion and appropriate implementation of student services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Special Education or a related field
- Valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential (or equivalent eligible for immediate transfer)
- Prior experience in developing, writing, and facilitating legally compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in primary grades (TK-3)
- Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies and curriculum modifications appropriate for mild/moderate learning and behavioral needs
