Position Overview:
- Provide dedicated one-on-one support to an High School student, focusing on managing and modifying high-level behavioral needs in the classroom.
- Implement the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) by consistently applying de-escalation and therapeutic crisis intervention techniques to maintain a structured, safe, and positive learning environment.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on the student's behavior patterns, interventions, and progress, and communicate effectively with the special education teacher and behavior specialists.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or 2 years of college credit (Required)
- Alternatively: High School diploma/equivalent and a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment (Required)
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training is (Strongly Preferred)
- Strong behavior management background and experience with middle/high school students (Preferred)
