Position Overview:
- Design and deliver specialized academic and intense social-emotional support to K-2 students within the structured, self-contained environment.
- Facilitate and support student integration into general education classrooms, gradually increasing access based on demonstrated positive coping strategies and behavior management.
- Develop and implement students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring instruction meets the unique needs of a specialized learning community.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) (Required)
- Must hold the Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students needing intermediate to intense social/emotional support and academic instruction
