Position Overview
- Provide individualized special education instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning through pull-out and push-in services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tracking student progress and adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, related service providers, and families to promote student success and implement positive behavior supports.
- Maintain accurate student records, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with special education requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an appropriate Special Education endorsement and qualifications to teach elementary special education
- Experience supporting diverse K–5 students with disabilities, including individualized instruction, curriculum modifications, and IEP implementation, preferred
