Job Summary

Vascular Sonographer. This position performs general ultrasound, obstetric, small-parts, and vascular ultrasound examinations in an acute care setting. The role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while supporting rotating 12-hour shifts and weekend coverage.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification and/or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification through ARDMS; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; West Virginia license; one year of experience; experience with obstetric and arterial extremity Doppler examinations.


• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week; schedules may include 6:00 a.m.6:00 p.m., 7:00 a.m.7:00 p.m., or 8:00 a.m.8:00 p.m. shifts, including weekends as scheduled.


• Additional Information: Responsibilities include general ultrasound, obstetric, small-parts, upper- and lower-extremity venous and arterial vascular ultrasound examinations, and intravenous starts. The department performs approximately 35 studies per day and includes three ultrasound rooms. Department orientation includes five preceptor shifts. Holiday rotation may be required. First-time travelers may be considered.
