Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer General in Minnesota this role involves producing high-quality ultrasound images to support accurate interpretation by physicians, adhering to established departmental standards. The position requires competency across various imaging modalities, with a focus on patient safety, teamwork, and flexible staffing in different work locations and hours.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 13-week assignment, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts of 7:00 am3:30 pm, 8:00 am4:30 pm, or 8:30 am5:00 pm. After-hours weekday call from 5:00 pm to 7:00 am (approximately 2 shifts per month) and weekend call from Friday 5:00 pm to Monday 7:00 am (approximately 2 shifts in 13 weeks).
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program. ARDMS registered in Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 months of employment; both RVT and RDMS within 12 months; third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 18 months; BLS certified.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ultrasound Sonographer experience with general ultrasound, obstetric (OB), vascular, and breast imaging.
- Skills: Organizational skills, general ultrasound experience, ultrasound sonographer expertise, multifunctionality, independence, interpersonal skills, effective communication, flexibility in work hours and locations, efficiency, OB ultrasound experience, vascular ultrasound experience, breast ultrasound experience.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
- Certifications & Licensure: ARDMS registration as specified, BLS certification.
- Additional Information: Ability to work independently and respond to on-call pager for days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends is required. Flexibility to staff various work locations and shifts is necessary to meet patient care needs.
