Job Summary:

Ultrasonographer General in Bangor, Maine. This role involves operating ultrasound imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring high-quality results for radiologist review. The position requires compassionate patient interaction, adherence to clinical protocols, and familiarity with PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and EPIC systems. The ultrasound technologist will be responsible for preparing patients, performing examinations, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Certification in ultrasound technology, valid state licensure, proficiency with PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and electronic health record systems (EPIC), excellent patient interaction skills, and ability to perform high-level disinfection of probes. Default experience requirement: 0 years.


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ultrasound procedures and advanced imaging techniques.


• Float: Float rotation may be required.


• Additional Information: If traveler resides within 50 miles of the facility, a $10/hr decrease will apply. Up to 16 hours of orientation are unpaid. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
