Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Therapy) in Portland, Maine. This position involves providing respiratory care across various units within the facility, including NICU, PICU, adult acute and critical care, and emergency departments. The role requires flexibility to cover multiple areas and support a team of professionals in a fast-paced, acute care environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certified as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) registered; BLS certification is required; ACLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred; a minimum of 3 years of experience in tertiary, teaching hospitals, with experience in NICU, PICU, adult acute and critical care; must have flexible, team-oriented, and communicative personality traits.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in NICU/PICU and cardiothoracic units.
• Additional Information: The position covers a varied patient population with an equipment set including Drager V500 and VN500 ventilators, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm; EMR system is EPIC. The unit has a fluctuating number of beds, with patient ratios of 1:25 for acute and 1:8 for critical care. The team size typically ranges from 14-16 Respiratory Therapists. Scrubs are provided or can be flexible in color, with the expectation of a professional dress code. The role involves call responsibilities requiring 2 hours for the oncoming shift.
