Job Details:
- Location: Winchester, Virginia
- Required Qualifications: Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology for accurate medical diagnosis as associated with ultrasound; competence in performing ultrasound procedures and services; ability to effectively operate all equipment utilized within the scope of a sonographer; accountability and attention to detail in the performance of duties; friendly and professional demeanor; 1 years of obstetrical sonography experience, with a strong understanding of complex conditions. Education requirements include an associate degree in sonography from an accredited school; a bachelors degree is preferred. Certifications required are Basic Life Support (American Heart Association only) and ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certificate.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Shift hours are 8 hours per day.
- Additional Information: This position requires experience in obstetrical sonography, particularly with high-risk pregnancies, and involves independent work with diagnostic ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include performing ultrasound examinations, evaluating patient tolerance, communicating results, providing ultrasound guidance for procedures, documenting data within the electronic medical record, and assisting with billing practices.
