Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Clinical Leader (CL) position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves circulating and scrubbing basic, intermediate, and complex interventional radiology cases, with experience in neuro IR preferred. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a comprehensive stroke center designation, supporting a high-volume IR service. The shift is scheduled for daytime hours, with potential for schedule adjustments.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 10 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Certifications and Education Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) license with BLS and ACLS certifications; for RT(R), ARRT certification, BLS, WI license; experience with the above patients and procedures required, minimum 1 year experience in interventional radiology preferred
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing on IR procedures, monitoring and charting patient status, and supporting complex procedures such as kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty, neuro IR interventions, and adjunct imaging procedures
- Support on the unit includes receptionists, coordinators, lead techs, tech specialists, respiratory therapy, hospitalist services, and CNAs/Transporters available 24/7
- Technology/Equipment: Experience preferred with Siemens and GE imaging equipment, EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Change Healthcare PACS, and additional equipment such as IVUS, Ultrasound (GE), Laser, Bovie, and Angiojet is advantageous
- Orientation: Preceptor-led orientation for 1-2 weeks with checkoff
- Scheduling details include weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities, with a 30-minute response time; no upcoming holidays as of now, but subject to change; RTO approval up to 7 days.
- Shift times on call are from 0700-1530 for General IR and 0730-1600 for Neuro IR, with flexibility for schedule modifications.
- The position involves providing scrub support with designated color, free parking, and badge access.
