Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) This position is located at a healthcare facility where the focus is on delivering specialized inpatient therapy services. The role involves evaluating patients, developing and modifying treatment plans, and ensuring effective return-to-community activities. The therapist will serve as an educator for patients, families, and colleagues to promote optimal recovery outcomes.
Job Details
- Position Description: Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for scheduled patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate effective community reintegration. Serves as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers. Performs additional professional duties related to patient care, discipline-specific therapy services, and program development. Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must hold a valid, current State license; BLS Certification required prior to first shift; Minimum of 2 years of experience; Previous inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Responsibilities: Completes comprehensive patient evaluations, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, manages treatment sessions efficiently, and documents medical records accurately. Participates in student programs and actively pursues professional development. Adheres to organizational performance improvement strategies and regulatory standards.
