Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is located in Hackensack, New Jersey. The role involves performing computer tomography procedures, producing sectional and three-dimensional images, and assisting with interventional and therapeutic techniques. The position requires technical proficiency in CT imaging, patient preparation, contrast administration, and safety protocols, supporting high-quality patient care within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 3:30 PM - 11:00 PM. Every third weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program; High School diploma or equivalent; NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License; ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; a minimum of 2 years of CT experience on Siemens Equipment; willingness to cover 1 weekend of on-call obligations, if needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Six months CT experience preferred; knowledge of Epic and HIS/RIS systems.
- Essential Functions: Performs complex CT procedures; reviews and obtains patient clinical history; manages contrast media administration; verifies exam appropriateness and insurance authorization; schedules outside studies; evaluates radiographs; prepares patients ensuring safety and comfort; monitors patient for adverse reactions; maintains documentation; performs venipuncture and IV maintenance; provides patient education; adheres to safety and procedural standards; participates in on-call rotations and weekend shifts.
- Additional Information: The CT Technologist must lift a minimum of 25 pounds, push and pull at least 50 pounds, and stand for at least 6 hours daily. The role involves communicating effectively with diverse patient populations and adhering to organizational behavior standards.
