Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position in Lafayette, Colorado, involves performing a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. This role requires the use of ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to produce high-quality scans that meet department standards.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift pattern, Mon-Wed 1200-0030, with rotating call and assigned holidays. Minimum hours per week: 36 hours.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in ARRT (CT), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Radiation Badge provided by supplier preferred, and one to two years of CT and acute care experience in a healthcare setting.
- Demonstrates understanding of sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, positioning competency, and proficiency in operating CT equipment with knowledge of imaging techniques and protocols.
- Exhibits knowledge of contrast administration protocols, including contrast injector operation.
- Proficient in electronic imaging, including viewing, transferring, and manipulating images.
- Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds appropriately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and task prioritization skills.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Responsible for patient education, safety, infection control, and proper documentation of procedures and reactions.
- Assists and instructs students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols and equipment use.
