Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Norfolk-based Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist specializes in cardiovascular invasive procedures within a Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This role involves supporting complex invasive cardiac procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality standards in a pediatric healthcare environment. Job Details Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Certifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS) required within 6 months of hire; CPR certification required within 45 days; PALS and ACLS certifications required and must be maintained within 12 months of hire. Education: Completion of an accredited Cardiac Technology program, Associate, or Baccalaureate program in health science required. Experience: 2 years of related work experience preferred; pediatric experience and knowledge of invasive procedures protocols preferred. Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Additional Information: Must demonstrate effective communication skills with physicians, nursing staff, support personnel, patients, and families. Ability to work independently and accommodate after-hour call coverage required. A record of a completed diploma or academic transcript must be provided for those performing complexity testing. Other Requirements: Licensed as a Cardiovascular Technologist, CPR training, and certifications in PALS and ACLS are necessary.
