Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist is based in Danbury, Connecticut. This role involves supporting high-acuity cardiovascular procedures, including emergent and advanced interventional cases across electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart laboratories. The position requires a highly skilled professional with experience in complex cardiovascular interventions, supporting various vascular access and device management techniques.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Sunday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Variable start times between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Participation in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as required by department needs.
- Required Qualifications: - State of Connecticut Radiographer license in conjunction with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry in Radiography (R) and/or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or Electrophysiology Laboratory. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Siemens imaging systems if a licensed radiologic technologist. - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification through CCI. - Experience in scrubbing structural heart procedures, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and Watchman device placement. - Proficiency in advanced cardiovascular imaging and technologies such as Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE), Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and 3D mapping systems. - Experience supporting mechanical circulatory support devices.
