Job description: Sterilization technician
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained in accordance with infection control protocols. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for both patients and staff.
Duties
- Perform sterilization of dental instruments using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical records related to sterilization processes.
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of the sterilization area.
- Operate and maintain 3D scanners as needed for various procedures.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.
- Provide support in general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry as required.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and Epic for record keeping and scheduling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a medical establishment
- Experience in patient care
- Experience in customer service
- Bedside/chairside manner strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team
- Team oriented
