Crosby-Ironton School District has an opening for a full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year.
REQUIREMENTS: Current MN Special Education teaching license.
SALARY RANGE: $48,760 - $92,905
HIRING BONUS: $5,000 (must hold Special Education Licensure to qualify.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) for preschool-aged children with disabilities and developmental delays.
- Assess students' developmental, academic, social-emotional, communication, and behavioral needs using formal and informal evaluation methods.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes growth and independence.
- Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and developmental levels.
- Provide direct instruction in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.
- Collaborate with families, administrators, therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to support student success.
- Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Conduct parent conferences and communicate regularly with families regarding student development and educational progress.
- Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Facilitate social, emotional, language, cognitive, and motor skill development through evidence-based instructional practices.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, eligibility determinations, and IEP meetings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education laws, regulations, and district policies.
- Coordinate and support transitions into kindergarten or other educational settings.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and information.
- Participate in professional development activities and remain current on best practices in early childhood and special education.
