Someone who champions our "Love What You Do" philosophy and supports a workplace where all employees can thrive.Education & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of employee relations experience, preferably in hospitality2 years administering payroll and recruitment, ideally using ADP Workforce NowStrong communication skills for explaining standards, policies, and employee benefitsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related field, or equivalent certification/trainingProven success in high-volume recruitment and onboardingStrong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge & SkillsAbility to listen, support, investigate, and resolve employee concernsSkilled in sourcing, selecting, and processing candidates with strong recordkeepingExcellent payroll knowledge with consistent attention to detailClear, professional verbal and written communicationAbility to build trust and relationships across all levels and diverse teamsFlexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentKey CompetenciesAble to guide, motivate, and inspire employees to excel and embrace changeA strong eye for identifying future Firmdale stars and supporting their growthA balanced thinker who considers both employee needs and business goalsA connector who strengthens partnerships across the hotelsEssential Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & InterviewingBuild strong relationships with leaders across assigned departmentsCreate and implement effective recruitment and selection strategiesSource candidates through job postings, networking, and industry boardsMaintain a robust talent bank for future openingsProvide pre-screened candidates, manage pre-employment checks, and prepare offer lettersEnsure timely, professional communication with all applicantsTrack success of recruitment sources and support consistent hiring practices2. Onboarding & New Hire ExperienceImplement and refine paperless onboarding processesCoordinate with the Training Manager to ensure seamless orientation and departmental trainingWelcome new hires and assist with systems access, timekeeping, and locker assignmentsPresent segments of Orientation as assignedEnsure all new hire information is accurate for HR files and payroll3. Payroll & Time and Attendance AdministrationEnsure accurate payroll processing in compliance with wage and hour regulationsSupport, train, and coach managers and employees on ADP Workforce NowAdminister employee self-service functions for vacation, sick, and personal day requests4. Culture, Engagement & CommunicationsPartner on creative employee communications, including bulletin boards and engagement initiativesSupport the “Love What You Do” employee recognition programCollaborate on new HR initiatives that strengthen culture and engagement5. Performance Management & Employee RelationsEnsure consistent application of policies, procedures, and attendance standardsConduct or support investigations, provide recommendations, and ensure follow-upOversee evaluation schedules including 45-day, 90-day, and annual reviewsBuild rapport by regularly visiting departments and offering support to staff, including early morning coverage twice a monthCoach managers using the SBI method and escalate issues when neededMediate concerns between employees and managers6. Education Reimbursement ProgramAssist in reviewing requests, processing documentation, and tracking payouts7.
