Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Program Director role based in Lake Placid, FL. The Program Director will oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs that assist agricultural producers. Responsibilities include developing program initiatives, managing program resources, monitoring program effectiveness, and building relationships with stakeholders. The role also requires staying updated with USDA program changes, leading program staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Leadership and Program Management skills, including experience in planning, execution, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with USDA grants, agricultural programs, and regulatory processes, with the ability to interpret and stay current on policy changes.
- Strong Communication and Relationship-Building skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders including farmers, partners, and team members.
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making expertise to effectively address challenges and optimize program outcomes.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis and Reporting to evaluate program performance and ensure effective use of resources.
- Experience in agriculture, public administration, or related fields is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
