Position Summary
The Member Services Attendant is responsible for delivering an exceptional golf experience by providing outstanding service to members and guests before, during, and after their round. This position supports the daily operations of the golf facility by maintaining the bag room, golf carts, driving range, practice areas, and clubhouse grounds while ensuring a welcoming, organized, and professional environment. The Member Services Attendant serves as an ambassador of the Club and is expected to consistently demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to exceptional hospitality.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license.
- General knowledge of golf etiquette and the game of golf.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills with members, guests, coworkers, and Golf Shop staff.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to take initiative and anticipate operational needs.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical work for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred
- Previous golf course, hospitality, or customer service experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Member Service
- Greet all members and guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Provide a first-class experience through attentive and personalized service.
- Remain visible and available to assist members and guests throughout each shift.
- Assist with loading and unloading golf bags from member and guest vehicles.
- Pull and stage member bags prior to tee times.
- Clean members' and guests' golf clubs following each round.
- Manage the bag drop podium and ensure efficient traffic flow.
- Maintain a positive and professional image that reflects the Club's standards.
Bag Room Operations
- Organize and maintain a bag room housing over 100 member bags.
- Accurately return all bags to their designated storage locations.
- Retrieve and stage bags efficiently for daily play and events.
- Return all push carts to their designated storage area after use.
Golf Cart Operations
- Clean, sanitize, and prepare golf carts after every use, including:
- Rinsing floorboards and storage compartments.
- Cleaning coolers.
- Filling sand bottles.
- Restocking scorecards, pencils, and tees.
- Cleaning and detailing cart roofs, seats, and exterior surfaces.
- Stage golf carts to ensure adequate availability throughout the day.
- Maintain the cart staging and wash areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Practice Facility Maintenance
- Set up the driving range each morning.
- Stock practice balls throughout the day.
- Retrieve range balls using approved equipment or hand-picking methods.
- Wash and inspect golf balls after each collection.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked practice tee.
- Keep both practice greens and short game areas free of golf balls and debris.
- Clean practice balls daily.
Facility Maintenance
- Monitor the golf cart staging area, bag drop, and surrounding grounds to ensure cleanliness.
- Remove trash from operational areas throughout the day and complete nightly trash removal.
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
