Field Maintenance Technician
Location: Springfield, MO (serving the Greater Springfield area)
Job Type: Full-time (W-2)
Cronkhite Property Management is hiring a Field Maintenance Technician to support our portfolio of single-family and multi-family rental homes throughout the Greater Springfield area.
This role is ideal for someone who can diagnose and resolve residential maintenance issues efficiently while working independently.
A company vehicle is provided. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call and weekend availability for emergency maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and complete maintenance requests using our property management system
- Troubleshoot residential systems (plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, etc.)
- Prepare vacant units for new tenants (clean, functional, move-in ready)
- Conduct move-out inspections and document charges
- Coordinate upkeep for vacant properties (landscaping, minor exterior work)
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and repairs
- Communicate professionally with tenants, team members, and vendors
Qualifications:
- Experience with general home maintenance or handyman work preferred
- Knowledge of residential systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances)
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
- Comfortable using mobile apps and work order systems
