What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraeducator- 1 Year (WIS) position at Cromwell Public Schools?
Cromwell Public Schools is looking for a Paraeducator for Woodside Intermediate School (grades 3-5). This is a 1 year position that ends at the end of the academic school year. The paraeducator will work with a variety of students with disabilities. This involves supporting students in all aspects of their day and the ability to work in diverse classroom settings under the direction of the special/and or regular education teachers which may include therapy activities, lifting, field trips, life skill instruction, and all other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
Qualifications: Associates degree; 60 college credits; or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment. Experience working with children is preferred. Please see link to Paraeducator job description for a complete description of the duties of the position.
Compensation: $23.37 per hour; 30 hours per week: 8:45 am - 3:15 pm (6.5 hours per day with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break). Sick and personal time, health benefits, eligible for a pension - see Paraeducator Contract for a complete list of benefits.
