We’re looking for a shipping & receiving professional who is quick to learn, reliable, organized, and hands-on to join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Sample Room Associate. This role involves managing daily sample room operations, handling shipping and receiving tasks, maintaining inventory, and assisting with light facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated responsible individual who enjoys both physical tasks and detail-focused work.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Room
· Prepare, fulfill, and ship sample requests for sales teams and customers
· Create and update swatchbooks; ensure all sample bins are accurate, clearly labeled, and up to date
· Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient sample room environment
· Monitor inventory levels and restock sample materials as needed
Shipping
· Pick, pack, and label outgoing shipments with accuracy and efficiency
· Prepare domestic and international shipping documentation
· Select cost-effective and timely shipping methods
· Coordinate carrier pickups and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Receiving
· Receive and process incoming shipments in a timely and accurate manner
· Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips
· Inspect items for damage, quality issues, and quantity discrepancies
· Label, record, and store materials in designated locations
Light Building Maintenance
· Help maintain clean, safe, and organized common areas, including entrances, kitchen, and shared spaces
· Perform light maintenance tasks such as watering plants, sweeping, and replacing light bulbs
· Assist with seasonal projects and annual warehouse clean-up
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or sample room management
- Ability to routinely lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency required, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Experience using shipping platforms (UPS, DHL, FedEx, USPS) along with basic inventory management
