We are looking for an experienced, talented, and compassionate Hospice Clinical Manager for a full-time position.
The Full-Time Hospice Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of community program and staff of the Hospice Department; provide supervision and leadership of an interdisciplinary team and in accordance with the philosophy, mission and standards established by the Agency.
Compensation: $110,000- $126,000
What will you do:
- Supervise clinical programs and professional/clerical staff.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families regarding end-of-life care.
- Collaborate with Intake to ensure appropriate hospice referrals.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels; participate in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and termination.
- Ensure staff competency, conduct performance evaluations, and update job standards as needed.
- Coordinate patient conferences, case management, and weekly IDT meetings.
- Provide timely coaching, counseling, and recognition to staff.
- Participate in hospice marketing, outreach, and public relations efforts.
- Assist with budget development, approve care-related invoices, and implement cost-effective practices while maintaining quality.
- Contribute to short- and long-term departmental planning.
- Ensure patient satisfaction; conduct client visits and investigate/resolve complaints.
- Submit required departmental reports within established timeframes.
- Support clinical, quality improvement, and DPH survey readiness initiatives in collaboration with the QI Department.
Education:
- Current Massachusetts RN or LICSW Licensure in good standing
Experience:
- Must have experience working with electronic medical records
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years nursing experience
- Hospice Home care experience required
- 1 year supervisory experience preferably leading a team of nurses
