Crocker Marine Services is seeking an experienced and dependable CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial trucks and heavy machinery, with strong skills in grading, site preparation, and equipment operation. PAY IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport equipment and materials to and from jobsites.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment and materials.
- Operate skid steers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery.
- Perform grading, leveling, and site preparation work.
- Assist with material placement, backfilling, and general site work.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Assist field crews with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A preferred).
- Proven experience operating skid steers and other heavy equipment.
- Experience with grading and proper site leveling is required.
- Experience transporting and securing heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of equipment safety and proper operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to assist wherever needed.
- Marine construction or general construction experience is a plus.
