We are currently seeking a PRN, Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical/PCU/ED for our Nursing Department.
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with the department mission and vision. Responsible for orientation, training, and management of personnel. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel. Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality; Displays concern and initiative; Observes and supports hospital policy; is prompt and efficient with minimal absences; Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments and visitors.
Qualifications:
Current RN license in the state of Kentucky; BLS certification; ACLS, PALS required (within the first 6 months of employment) for staff working Med Surg, PCU, ER, and Surgery.
Education, Training or Experience:
Demonstrates competency in clinical skills and knowledge pertinent to the practice of education of a Registered Nurse; Demonstrates an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process as appropriate to the ages of patients served; Must meet state licensure educational requirements; Must meet all mandatory educational requirements.
