Meeru AI is building an enterprise Agentic AI platform deployed into customer-owned AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. We're seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Engineer to own platform architecture, drive technical decisions, and lead hands-on development of scalable, secure AI systems.
What You'll Do
- Define and own platform architecture across agent orchestration, RAG, memory, tool execution, observability, identity, and authorization.
- Design customer-cloud and multi-tenant platform foundations, including data isolation, SSO, and policy enforcement.
- Lead architecture for LangGraph-based agent frameworks, evaluation pipelines, and AI safety guardrails.
- Drive performance, reliability, security, scalability, and cloud deployment strategy.
- Partner with deployment, product, and engineering teams on customer-facing architecture decisions.
- Write production code, conduct design reviews, mentor engineers, and lead incident/postmortem efforts.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 10 years of software engineering experience, including Staff/Principal-level technical ownership.
- Proven experience building and operating production LLM applications at scale.
- Strong expertise in:
- Agentic AI, RAG, tool-using agents, prompt engineering
- LLM evaluation pipelines, prompt-injection defense, AI safety/guardrails
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture and customer-cloud/BYOC deployment models
- Distributed systems (idempotency, eventual consistency, queues, distributed locking)
- Authentication & authorization architecture, OWASP security best practices
- Deep proficiency in Python; working knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience (performance tuning, indexing, replication, migrations, pgvector/vector databases).
- Cloud-native architecture expertise in AWS and familiarity with Azure or GCP.
- Experience making and driving complex architecture decisions across teams.
Nice to Have
- Customer-cloud / single-tenant product experience.
- Cerbos, OPA, Cedar, WorkOS, Auth0, or Okta.
- LangSmith, Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, Arize, or similar observability tools.
- SOC2, HIPAA, FedRAMP, or similar compliance experience.
- Open-source contributions, technical speaking/writing, or startup/founding engineer background.
