The Role:
We are seeking a Deputy Chief Financial Officer (Deputy CFO) to work directly alongside the CFO, CEO, and broader C-suite to manage financial strategy, operations, and growth planning. This is a high-impact, equity-first executive role ideal for a finance leader with multi-vertical experience, preferably in sports, entertainment, live events, or high-growth startups.
The Deputy CFO will play a pivotal role in financial modeling, capital allocation, fundraising support, and establishing scalable systems that position CSE for long-term success. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, equity-first startup environment and can manage both the high-level strategy and day-to-day financial operations of a complex, multi-entity organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the CFO to oversee all financial operations across CSE’s management and live event verticals
- Build, refine, and manage multi-year financial models to support Series A fundraising and investor relations
- Design scalable financial systems and processes for a multi-entity, high-growth company
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for all divisions and events
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and expense optimization across the company
- Provide financial guidance on strategic initiatives, partnerships, and acquisitions
- Oversee compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and corporate governance requirements
- Prepare investor-ready reporting packages and assist in capital raise execution
- Support financial diligence for new ventures, event expansions, and sponsorship deals
Ideal Background:
- 10–15 years in finance leadership roles—ideally in sports, entertainment, live events, media, or high-growth startups
- Prior experience as a CFO, Deputy CFO, VP Finance, or senior finance executive in a multi-division business
- Expertise in financial modeling, strategic planning, and investor relations
- Experience managing complex entity structures and multi-revenue stream operations
- Familiarity with the economics of live events, talent representation, and media rights
- Strong network within investor, sponsorship, and finance circles a plus
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, startup environment with equity-first incentives
Why Join CSE:
- Equity leadership role in one of the most diversified sports and entertainment companies in the country
- Collaborate with high-profile executives, creators, and industry leaders across multiple verticals
- Help scale a platform that blends management, live events, and original content into a unified growth model
- Be part of a high-upside, culturally relevant sports and entertainment brand in expansion mode
