Overview:
MeeruAI is building a next-generation, multi-tenant SaaS platform that transforms financial operations using AI-powered agents. Built on a modern LangGraph-based architecture, this platform enables finance teams to automate AP, AR, forecasting, and financial analytics at enterprise scale.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the development and launch of MeeruAI’s flagship product. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role where you’ll own architecture, execution, and team growth while working in a hybrid model (3 days onsite in Pleasanton, CA).
You will lead a distributed engineering organization (15–20 engineers across the US and offshore) and partner closely with Product, Design, and Business leaders.
What you will do:
- Own the technical vision and architecture for a multi-tenant SaaS platform
- Lead, hire, and scale a distributed engineering team
- Stay hands-on with architecture, code reviews, and critical-path development
- Drive execution from MVP through enterprise scale
- Establish engineering best practices for quality, security, and delivery
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of software engineering experience with 5 years in engineering leadership
- Proven track record building SaaS products from 0 to 1.
- Deep expertise in modern backend technologies:
- Python (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
- PostgreSQL, Redis, and database design
- AWS infrastructure (EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, ALB)
- Microservices architecture and API design
- Strong understanding of:
- Multi-tenant SaaS architecture patterns
- Authentication/authorization (Auth0, SSO, RBAC)
- Security best practices and compliance requirements
- Modern frontend frameworks (React/Next.js preferred)
- Experience with AI/ML systems (LLMs, LangChain, LangGraph) is a significant plus
Salary : $200,000 - $220,000
