Field Service Technician (HVAC & Power Systems)
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our regional service team. This is a full-time position focused on the preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC, generator, and electrical equipment.
As a field-based role, you will travel throughout Illinois and surrounding states. We provide a company service truck, all necessary tools, and parts. For overnight travel, a daily allowance for food and lodging is provided via a company expense card.

Key Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and servicing on HVAC systems and industrial generators.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical and electrical failures and execute timely repairs.
- Special Projects: Assist with equipment installations and system upgrades as needed.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a high standard of safety consciousness while operating company vehicles and working on-site.
- Documentation: Complete service reports and maintenance logs accurately using provided digital tools.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 – $45.00 per hour (Commensurate with experience and certifications)
- Performance Bonus: Annual bonus eligibility after 1 year, based on individual performance and tenure.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience is preferred.
- Certifications: * EPA Certification (Required)
- Must have the ability to troubleshoot and read schematics.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel 75% of the time throughout the regional territory.
- Work Location: On the road (Dispatch from home available.)
- Skills: Strong safety consciousness and work ethic.
- Mechanical Aptitude: General automotive or electrical experience is a significant plus.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently in the field.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Mobility: Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching to access equipment.
- Climbing: Ability to safely climb and work from ladders.
- Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions (extreme heat/cold).
- Dexterity: Fine motor skills for handling small electrical components and precision tools.
Pay: $20.00 - $55.00 per hour
