Job Description:
As a superintendent for Critical Path Solutions you will be responsible for overseeing all field operations and coordination of subcontractors work. Superintendents are responsible for all field activities associated with the project such as safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and their sub-contractors to ensure quality
- Develop daily reports and take daily photos
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents to be able to plan ahead
- Review construction drawings and specifications to identify potential problems
- Act as primary safety representative in the field and enforce quality control policies
- Lead contractor meetings pertaining to safety, quality, and coordination
- Assist in managing and updating project schedule
- Communicate schedule status, updates and changes to Project Team and Trade Contractors
- Enforce project quality plan
- Coordinate jobsite logistics and layout
Experience and education:
- Preferred BS or MS degree in construction management or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience working on commercial construction projects as a field engineer, assistant superintendent, or superintendent role.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills and knowledge
- Must be detail oriented
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Must have excellent construction document and drawing understanding with understanding of different phases of construction
- Preferred 30-hour OSHA certified
