We are a lean, high-performance organization of nine team members generating $10M in annual revenue. Our work is fast, technical, and essential to the digital infrastructure that powers the world. As we prepare for significant growth, we are seeking a Director of Construction & Operations who can lead our construction division and serve as the EOS Integrator for the company.
Position Overview
The Director of Construction & Operations (Integrator) is responsible for leading all construction activities, driving operational execution, and scaling the systems and processes needed to support the company’s next stage of growth. This role partners directly with the Owner (Visionary) to translate strategy into action, maintain organizational discipline through EOS, and ensure world-class delivery on all mission-critical projects.
This position requires direct experience in mission-critical construction, strong operational leadership, and the discipline and accountability often seen in military veterans or competitive athletes.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Leadership
- Lead all phases of mission-critical data center projects, from estimation through closeout.
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety requirements, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Interpret and execute complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Operational Management (EOS Integrator)
- Run the company’s EOS operating system: L10 meetings, Scorecard, quarterly Rocks, and accountability processes.
- Translate the Visionary’s direction into clear, prioritized, executable plans.
- Build and refine operational systems to support consistent, scalable performance.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and hold accountable Project Managers, field teams, and office staff.
- Bridge communication between office and production teams to ensure alignment and execution.
- Recruit and develop talent to meet company growth objectives.
Subcontractor & Vendor Strategy
- Build and maintain a reliable, scalable network of subcontractors.
- Evaluate and manage specialty trade performance to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Strengthen vendor relationships to support growing project volume.
Business Development & Client Management
- Partner with the Owner to pursue new business opportunities and expand client relationships.
- Represent the company in proposals, presentations, and strategic client discussions.
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial & Schedule Control
- Build, manage, and forecast project budgets and schedules.
- Monitor performance and proactively resolve deviations to protect profitability.
- Analyze operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Travel
- Regular travel to project sites across the U.S., particularly in mission-critical environments.
Qualifications
- 10 years of construction management experience, including mission-critical or data center projects.
- Proven ability to lead a division, department, or small business with P&L responsibility.
- Experience with EOS/Traction strongly preferred; process-driven leaders encouraged.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical power systems, containment, and structured cabling.
- Demonstrated ability to scale operations, build systems, and develop teams.
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and leadership skills.
- Military or high-level athletic experience (or comparable mindset) strongly valued.
