- We are looking for a Deal Desk Manager to work closely as a business partner with the regional sales organization. This person is a key enabler of deal formation and execution with a focus on minimizing sales cycle time while optimizing revenue, profitability and deal quality
- Acting as a deal ‘quarterback’, the Deal Desk Manager will assist with offer selection, constructing deals, completing legal templates and exception handling. Additionally, he/she will be expected to accelerate decision making by proactively facilitating reviews, escalations and approvals
- The ideal candidate is commercially minded, intellectually curious, has very strong interpersonal skills, and works well independently
What You'll Do
- Providing support and guidance to Sales/Account Management (SAM) on best practices related to deal management and fixed term committed spend contract structuring with enterprise clients. Shepherd deals through the sales cycle and internal approval process in collaboration with appropriate cross-functional teams (Legal, FP&A, Sales Operations, Finance Shared Services, IT, Product Monetization)
- Drive standard methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness via deal reviews, early checkpoints, and enforcement of standard business practices, frameworks and policies
- Serve as a trusted advisor, subject matter expert and partner to SAM on deal policies, contracts, product offer configuration, and business terms. Advise and work with SAM on objection handling techniques, alternative contract options, and / or value propositioning to help drive deal closures
- Support with the potential to lead contract negotiation and deal construction of standard fixed term committed spend agreements with Enterprise clients
- Collaborate with and provide advice and deal insights to cross functional teams in order to maximize scalability, efficiency of processes, improvements in policies, processes and systems with the objective of increasing sales productivity
Who You Are
- 8 years total experience including 3 years experience in commercial contracts environment, preferably in a technology-based company or in a legal environment focusing on technology-based customers and contracts. Preference for candidates with finance experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving experience, combined with strong business judgement and ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner
- Self-starter with ability to independently identify action items required given situation (high level critical thinking skills)
- Industry knowledge, technical insight, negotiation experience, and strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to work well under pressure with ruthless prioritization and transparent communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well with sales and sales leadership as well as other cross functional teams
