Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating dental issues, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care in a comfortable environment.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to determine oral health needs.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including dental extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure optimal patient care.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, including the use of software such as Eaglesoft, for patient management.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred; familiarity with pediatric patients is essential.
- Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology related to patient care.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
