JOB REQUIREMENTS:
What You’ll Do
- Quickly build rapport with new students, and help them feel welcome and comfortable during orientation.
- Lead orientation sessions with new students including but not limited to: workshops, lessons, team-building activities, icebreakers, reflection, writing, reading, public speaking, etiquette, role play, etc.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide timely and actionable feedback to students.
- Model the Cristo Rey Way, and teach students how to engage and perform in a professional manner.
- Explain and exemplify the value of a Cristo Rey Richmond education.
- Answer questions and help students acclimate to a new school environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend training the week before orientation with the planning team.
- Arrive before students each morning to help set up and stay to help clean up every afternoon.
- Actively build relationships with new students and ensure each student feels welcomed and connected to our community.
- Dress in professional attire and model CRR expectations in every possible way.
- Be flexible and adaptable throughout the program as events may shift and change.
- Maintain a positive and engaged attitude throughout the orientation program.
- Graduate of Cristo Rey Richmond and enrolled in a post-secondary educational program.
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective presentation/facilitation skills
- Ability to relate to high school students
- Flexible, creative, patient, sense of humor, team player
- Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of CRRHS.
- Sensitivity to the ethnic, cultural, racial and religious backgrounds of the students.
- Dates of Employment: July 20 - August 6, 2025
- Hours: 8:30-3:30pm
- Salary: Minimum $15/hour
