The Operations & Student Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe daily operations of the Corporate Work Study Program and key schoolwide events. This position supports student transportation, morning CWS send-off routines, family communication, and cross-department logistics for large-scale programs such as Summer Success Institute (SSI) and Draft Day.This role requires strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, proactive communication, and a deep commitment to creating a positive experience for Cristo Rey Orange County students and families.The work shift is primarily during the school year, Monday through Friday, 6:10 to 3:10.Key Responsibilities Transportation & Fleet Coordination• Coordinate and develop daily transportation routes and driver schedules.· Participate in screening, hiring, onboarding, and training new drivers.· Supervise and support driver staff; provide directions, expectations, and feedback.· Conduct and document accident investigations, coordinate reporting to law enforcement and insurance.· Maintain records of driver violations and corrective actions.· Ensure vehicle maintenance, repair, registrations, insurance, cleaning, tracking devices, and readiness.· Communicate with CFO regarding vendors, billing, and fleet-related purchases.· Support CWS morning routine and student send-off transition.Student Logistics & Morning Operations• Prepare daily CWS morning send-off materials (materials, signage, route sheets, radios).· Track and follow up with parents for missing or late students during morning transportation.· Ensure a smooth and timely student departure process with clear communication to staff and students.· Maintain strong relationships with families through proactive outreach and communication.Planning & Logistics• Coordinate transportation planning for SSI, including route adjustments and field trip travel.• Manage procurement of food, supplies, decorations, materials, and equipment for SSI.• Support coordination of college visits, ropes courses, and special events.• Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure smooth execution and alignment with program goals.• Maintain SSI inventory and manage purchasing and expense tracking.Event Support• Coordinate transportation for Draft Day activities.• Assist in designing and setting up decorations, staging, and event flow.• Support communication with internal departments to align logistics with event programming.• Help create staff training materials related to Draft Day execution.Logistics, Purchasing & Facilities Coordination• Lead purchasing for CWS and SSI events (food, supplies, décor, materials).• Coordinate with facilities and vendors for event setup needs.• Maintain inventory of logistics supplies, décor, and equipment.• Support organization-wide logistics needs assigned.Additional Operational Responsibilities• Be on-call while vehicles are in use; respond to emergencies as needed.• Perform backup driving duties as needed.• Research and evaluate transportation vendors and vehicle purchase options.• Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid CA driver’s license.• Clean DMV record required (minimum last 5 years).• Experience working with diverse communities.• High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.• Spanish fluency required (family communication component).• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to manage multiple logistics projects simultaneously.• Commitment to the mission of Cristo Rey Orange County. Preferred Qualifications• Experience in event planning, logistics coordination, or school operations.• Prior experience with transportation, dispatch, or routing software.• Customer service or family engagement experience.• Experience coordinating multi-department projects.Company DescriptionCristo Rey Orange County High School is a Catholic learning community that educates young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service.
